Albion Marine Solutions completed the BWTS Commissioning during vessel transit through Panama Canal

Albion is proud to be the North American service company that provides BWTS instrument calibration and tests of ballast water samples following both IMO and USA VGP requirements. Recently, we completed the BWTS Commissioning for a vessel at Panama Canal. Commissioning was done during vessel transit through the Panama Canal. The Commissioning and class acceptance has been completed within the 20 hours timeline.

The primary goal of commissioning testing is to show that the system's primary treatment methods can function as they were installed, rather than to validate the Type Approval. Furthermore, it is based on the BWM.2/Circ.70 Guidance for Ballast Water Management System Commissioning Testing, and it will be required by the Vessel's Flag State or Recognized Organizations (ROs) working on their behalf. The entire Albion team is already jam-packed right now, with commissioning, troubleshooting BWTS, scrubbers, dry docking, and vessel disposals.
